Gala Dinner and Auction
Please join us for a silent and live auction with a reception/buffent featuring a presentation of the Rose Pessin Memorial Award at the Seaport Hotel, Boston on Thursday, March 8th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Showcasing the creativity of individuals who have disabilities, and featuring a wide variety of auction items including European and U.S. getaways, professional sporting event tickets and much more.

34th Annual Legislative Reception
Please join state legislators, other officials, people with disabilities and advocates as we come together Wednesday, March 7 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM for the 32nd Annual Legislative Reception. This event is co-hosted by The Arc of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC). The event is an ideal opportunity for persons with disabilities, family members, advocates, state agency heads and their staff, and legislators to interact, network, and catch up on legislative, budget, and policy priorities.

New Legislator Orientation
Please join us each year for our New Legislator Orientation. This bi-annual orientation, organized by The Arc of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council, provides incoming state legislators with information to assist families and individuals with disabilities.

Meeting your legislator face-to-face is the most efficient and effective way to educate them about the issues facing people with disabilities and their families. Where better to do that that than our New Legislator Orientation, You will have an opportunity to meet your new legislator in a small, intimate setting and talk about the issues that matter to you.

Distinguished Citizens Ceremony Honors Individuals, Organizations
On September 16th, the Arc of Massachusetts honored a number of special individuals and organizations who have made great strides in enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Friends, community members and legislators were present to recognize the awardees. Jim Braude of 96.9 FM Talk and NECN hosted the ceremony.
Play on the Parquet 2011
One of our most popular events, Play on the Parquet offers Celtics fans, amateur basketball players, and corporate executives the unique opportunity to join together at the TD Garden for a complete "Celtic experience,” while also supporting our advocacy. Corporations field teams which play full-length basketball games on the legendary parquet floor, while a special halftime program features an hour-long clinic and scrimmage for kids and teens. Our 2011 event was a great success, thanks to the generosity of UBS Investment Bank, TD Garden, and our other sponsors, as well as the efforts of over fifty volunteers. 50th Anniversary Gala
This once-in-a-lifetime celebration brought together past and present leaders of The Arc from all parts of the Commonwealth, along with self-advocates, family members, government officials, and professionals in the field, who joined in celebrating the many achievements of The Arc in Massachusetts. The black-tie Gala featured veteran television star Rex Trailer as Honorary Chairman, and Channel 4 morning anchor Paula Ebben as Master of Ceremonies.
