The Governor's Cabinet begins working on the budget for the 2013-2014 fiscal year in the fall, only a few months after the start of the present one! The Arc and ADDP have begun discussions around a range of priorities including Family Support, Residential Chapter 257, Salaries, Employment, DESE-DDS, Autism Services, Day Habilitation and Turning 22! It's not a small list - but then again the constituents reflect different needs and ages.
We look forward to working with Mass. Families Organizing for Change and Mass. Advocates Standing Strong and others as we have in the past. But we need to start compiling stories both for the public at large and policy makers. Without your voice we cannot expect to succeed.
