Volunteer Opportuntities

You can make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families by volunteering with The Arc of Massachusetts or one of our Local Chapters.

Helping out need not be a regular or long-term commitment. Even if you can volunteer only on an occasional basis, your efforts can make a real difference in the work of The Arc.

The Arc of Massachusetts needs volunteers to assist us with a variety of roles, including outreach and education, development, technology, and office support. In addition, we often need assistance with special events, such as Play on the Parquet, our annual fundraiser at the TD Banknorth Boston Garden, and other fundraisers, seminars, and meetings.

The Arc of Massachusetts provides a limited number of internships and field placements. Specific opportunities include: Public Policy (policy research, legislative, etc.); Marketing & Development; Training & Public Education; Public Relations; Internet Communication & Updates; and Journalism. Supervision for academic credit available, LICSW on staff, as well as staff with other graduate degrees such as Public Administration.
