I have been wondering where the Governor's Commission on MR has been up to and where the State Advisory Board's (SAC) position is regarding the new Commissioner and what are the latest developments re: Fernald and lastly has anyone heard about what new regs may come down to the area Boards and their future functionality.

If anyone has any info on the above please post here or e mail me.

The past term of the Governor's Commission on Mental Retardation ended in May07. We just received word that the new administration will be reauthorizing a new Commission. Interested applicants should send a letter of interest and a resume to the Governor as soon as possible.
Our final activities for this term included conducting an open public hearing, two employment forums and co-sponsoring five regional focus groups on transition from high school into adult DMR services. Please review our web site for final reports. (mass.gov/GCMR)
