In late April, the House of Representatives voted on DMR and other amendments. Thanks to the courage of our Legislature, the House budget included more funding for services for people with disabilities and their families than the Governor's House 2 budget. There were increases in the Autism Division, Turning 22, Family Supports, Community Residential and the Residential Rate Initiative. Those increases were not easy for the House in what has become an increasingly tough fiscal climate. We want to sincerely thank our friends in the Legislature who made that happen.
