Governor Releases FY2011 Budget Proposal - Wednesday, January 27, 2010

The Governor's budget incudes cuts to a range of line-items inside and outside DDS: residential, day/work, family support, transportation, DESE-DDS and MRC Extended Employment. It is evidence that the economic crisis continues to hurt people with disabilities by further fraying the Disability Services Safety Net.

Reprieve for the Disabled - Thursday, December 10, 2009
In an 11th-hour turnaround, Governor Deval Patrick announced last week he no longer plans to make $100 million in cuts aimed at addressing a deficit in the MassHealth budget - reductions that would have left some of the state’s most vulnerable residents without services they had been receiving.
